  1. Amazing!

You gonna pull this of this weekend :)

  2. Hey, it’s only $1.99 to download one of her spoken word poems at BluefishTV.com!
I’d say go for it…put it in your service and answer questions later. ;)

  3. i WISH! i’m seriously thinking about showing her work to my pastor… the college kids would absolutely dig her, but i don’t know if it’d fly with the “upper half” of our congregation.

  4. this just in: i sent the above clip to my pastor. he’s very open to the idea, said he’s seen her stuff before and really likes it. AND, he also said the following:

“Or you can just wait until the Sunday I’m gone and then do all the things you’ve ever wanted to do in a service all at the same time.”"

    muah hah hah! tempting!!!!

    just kidding. ;)

  5. Heh, very tempting.

I love Amena’s art. There are so many poems and such that you hear and think, “that would be great set to music.” Then you hear someone like Amena and realize that putting her art to music would destroy so much of what makes her art sing. She has a tone and melody and cadence so well placed in each and every writing that it simply draws you in.

  6. Wow! I love this!! Thanks for sharing! :)
