Love Lifted Me – A Song Story

I ran across this post from The Happy Wanderer.

This song brings back childhood memories: We used to sing it in my grandparents’ tiny little southern church nestled amidst huge live oak trees covered with Spanish moss. I was standing on the red-clay bank when my mom was baptized in the river near the church.
