Song Stories
Bridging the generational gap:
One of the ways we try to connect our people to our songs is by introducing a song/hymn with its background story. These stories bring the songs to life, connecting them to our world through the everyday inspirations of the writers. This is a powerful way to help the congregation warm up to the newer worship songs as well as become refreshed with old faithful hymns.

WorshipLeader Magazine also has a featured songstory with every edition. They have partnered with CCLI to offer these online as well. These focus on new praise and worship songs that are quickly hitting the mainstream and becoming well known.
Please let me know if you’ve come across any other great song story resources!
